Covercraft Sunbrella Cockpit Cover
A car cover that just covers the top and windshield of the
car. Protects the interior from the sun and keeps it cool.
I had a Technolon one before that I never used since
it was too big to comfortably go in the trunk. Also, I was
afraid it would make my trunk moldy when wet.
Installation
Easy. The material is heavy enough not to blow around too
much in the wind. It has a thick piece that you put below
the trunk lid to prevent theft or blowing away in a storm.
I painted my tag on it in green fabric paint to discourage
theft further. It does not have to look good to me.
Evaluation
Excellent. Keeps the sun from vaporizing my dashboard. (Ever wondered
where this "film" on the inside of your wind shield comes from?). It
keeps the car real cool in the Tallahassee summer. It keeps eyes out.
Easy to handle during wind. I cut a hole in it to display my parking
sticker on my windshield with no problems. Folds much smaller than an
earlier Technolon cockpit cover. I put it in a plastic bag when wet
so that my trunk does not get moldy.
