The rice was thrown by members of the Allied forces participating in the Allies vs Axis autocross the next day. I thought they were going to limit the rice to just people pre-reigistered to drive in the event(myself, John Nicholson, Paul Deflorio, & Mark Marsiglio), but I guess the adult beverages they consumed waiting for us to arrive changed their mind.
It wasn't anything hateful, maybe just jealousy. After all, they wouldn't be allowed in the parade without 400lbs of kitty litter to soak up all the oil leaked on the road.
